AstroflexPower

Astroflex Power’s solution is a new generation of lightweight, flexible, and cost-efficient solar arrays for spacecraft. The system uses space-qualified, self-healing silicon solar cells laminated on ultra-thin flexible substrates, combined with 3D-printed composite booms from partner Orbital Matter. This architecture reduces mass and stowage volume by over 100× and lowers subsystem cost by up to 90% compared to traditional GaAs arrays, while maintaining robustness and scalability for large satellite platforms.
